Stop the Government's
Censorship

The Home Office has begun a process to make it illegal to possess extreme adult images.

These plans could lead to people being imprisoned for downloading images from the internet.

This is a step too far from a government determined to regulate every aspect of our lives and quash individual expression.

backlash needs cash ! Please help by donating

Backlash is the campaigning organisation bringing together individuals and activist groups to oppose this legislation.

Donations

Many thanks to all who have given money online, we have had some very generous individual donations.

A significant majority of donors are women, a fact that would no doubt baffle those in favour of censorship.

We continue taking donations to fund the next phase of the campaign.

Money you have raised.

Using the legal and administrative framework provided by Unfettered Limited, one of the founding members, backlash has been given £ 6,868 of which £ 3,749 was from individual online donations and £ 3,120 in cash or cheques from munches and supportive organisations.

During that time £ 4,606 has been spent, the largest single item being a contribution of £ 1,500 towards the QC's opinion and most of the rest being for printing and distributing leaflets and briefing documents for Parliament.

£ 2,262 has been kept in reserve to enable backlash to react quickly and effectively when the CJB is eventually published, without having to delay whilst further funds are raised.
